Soriano - 30 minutes from Bernal

La peña de bernal

¡Hola!

Royma, me and Consuelo in Bernal

It looks like a head of a monkey which is lying...verdad?

La peña de bernal

3. November 2007
Melissa and me got up at 8 o´clock because my family told me that we´ll leave at 8:30 a.m. (Friday evening there was a Halloweenparty, so we were quite tired)
So guess, when did we leave the house? OF COURSE two hours later :-) it took us more or less two hours to get to the peña. The peña de bernal is the third highest rock of the world.
It was a sunny and hot day. We climbed half of the rock. It was just too hot (and dangerous) to continue and my shoes weren´t exactly good and the path neither.
I met a young couple from France. I tried to speak French, but it was horrible! I mix all the words. An example: I said instead of vacance - vacacion, of course with a French pronounciation :-) it is so sad, five years of French and now I can´t speak fluently anymore...sniff but it´s nice to meet tourists, I feel like home when i see them.
On the way home we stopped and ate "Mais" with mayonesa and queso.That´s so good. You have to try that. mhmm....
It was a really nice day. and OF COURSE the next day I had a sunburn, my first Mexican sunburn.

¡News!

- Guri is going to change family and the new family lives in my street. So she is going to be my neighbour! How cool is that :-) we can do a lot of things together.
- My grandmother moved. My family bought a house, but finally they decided to stay here, so they just sent the grandmother to the new house :-) jajaja...
- There`s still no warm water in my house, brrr...
- Oh, I`m getting fatter :-( poor me. The Mexican food is just too good!

My best mistake ever:
Consuelo, Oscar and me were at the graveyard (dia de los muertos). He asked me: "How do the graveyards look like in Switzerland?" and I answered: "You walk on/ There are a lot of small legs." :-) Que asco...
piernas = legs
piedra = stones
it`s so easy to confuse

Dia de los muertos

hihii

Pan de muerto

Dia de los muertos

1. November
In Mexiko firt me am 1. und 2.
Was hets uf so eme Altar? Es het es Fotti vonere verstorbnige Person, Esse (Fruecht, Salz, Pan de Muerto, Wasser, Esse wo de Person gfalle het...), Blueme (Zempasuchilt), Cherze, Chruez, Spiegel...me chas echli gstalte wie mers wett. Me seit dass nach dene zwoi Taeg de Duft vom Esse verschwindet.
2. November
D´Stimmig isch schoen gsi ufem Friedhof, komisch aber wahr.
